Batch rename files
Preview changed names, then download renamed copies in a ZIP. The selected originals are not changed.
Files and rename rules
Changes affect the filename before its final extension. Replacement is literal and case-sensitive. Numbering follows file selection order; no regular expressions or direct disk renaming.

About the ZIP
The ZIP contains copies under the previewed names and rename-map.csv with the old and new names. It rejects unsafe names and name collisions, including names that differ only by letter case. The tool reads files in your browser; large selections can use substantial memory.
To keep the mapping safe to open in spreadsheet software, a filename beginning with =, +, -, or @ (even after leading spaces) is prefixed with an apostrophe in the CSV only. The renamed file keeps the exact previewed filename.
To verify a downloaded archive against a published digest, use the SHA-256 File Checksum Verifier.
