Check the requirements together
A file can have the right dimensions and still be too large, or have the right extension but contain another image format. This tool checks the file signature, decoded width and height, and actual bytes against the rules you enter. Leave both pixel fields blank to keep the source dimensions; leave maximum size blank to omit the byte check.
Size limits use decimal units: 1 KB = 1,000 bytes and 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes. Copy the destination's technical requirements carefully. A passing result means only that the entered technical checks pass. It does not guarantee acceptance by another service or check photo content, identity, originality, DPI or hidden requirements.
Choose what stays in the frame
Keep whole image preserves the full composition and adds white padding where the shapes differ. Fill frame crops edges to fit; adjust horizontal and vertical position to keep the subject. Images are never stretched or enlarged. A larger padded frame can add space without adding detail.
Review the framing preview first, then inspect the encoded result for softness, cropping and legibility. JPG fills transparency with white. PNG and WebP retain image transparency; any added padding is white.
When the maximum size cannot be met
For JPG and WebP, preparation tests quality settings from an 85% ceiling down to a 10% minimum while keeping the requested dimensions. A difficult byte limit may still fail. The result shows its actual size and an unmatched download is clearly labeled. Review the original requirements before changing format, dimensions or the limit.
PNG gets one export and a size check; it has no quality slider. This tool does not automatically reduce dimensions to force a pass. If you only need a JPG byte target, use Compress JPG. For composition controls, use Crop image.
Keep the original and review the result
Use one still JPG, PNG or WebP up to 25 MiB and 40 megapixels. Animated PNG and WebP are rejected. Newly encoded files are limited to 16 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. HEIC users can first make a compatible copy with HEIC to JPG.
An original that already passes is offered unchanged, including its existing metadata. Prepared files are newly encoded; metadata is not deliberately copied and colors can vary between browsers. This is not a lossless conversion or metadata privacy tool. Keep your original.
Your files and entered rules stay in browser memory. Clearing the workspace or leaving the page releases working files, and there is no saved history. Normal page and asset requests still reach Cloudflare; see the Privacy Policy.
